Nothing new. Working all the time. I'm really starting to hate my job more and more each day. Yesterday was decent... the kids weren't too bad. Scott (one of the therapy group leaders) made a comment to me about how he thinks they're "grooming" me to run therapy groups. The rumor is that he's applying for other jobs because he's ready to leave. I'd love to have his job and run therapy groups. I've been running groups fairly sporadically for the past 6 months. Yesterday I ran a creative self-expression group on one of the units. I've got that group spot for the next month. Maybe they are grooming me for it. *shrugs* The pay is a lot better and the hours are too (10-6/11-7 M-F... not bad).
I hate winter. It makes my skin so dry. I think I put lotion on like 45 times a day.
I really need to clean out my car, dry my hair, feed the dogs, clean my room, do laundry, go to the gym, go shopping, etc.
Planning a trip to Europe is exhausting and frustrating. So is researching graduate programs... especially ones in the UK.
I'm in love with the new Decembrists and Of Montreal albums.

I think my job interview went really well. She said she's got a few more interviews to do and will give me a call within two weeks. I reaaaallly hope I get it.
I feel better today. My voice is almost completely back but now I have a horrible cough. I'd rather have no voice.
It seems that all of my friends are stuck in this weird transitional phase in their lives (me included). It's like no one really likes their jobs, hates the cities their living in, etc. I honestly don't know any of my friends who are actually happy with their lives. Sucks. Oh well.
So that's the kind of dog I'm going to get... a Chinese Crested. I have a breeder in Iowa who has 3 litters due at the end of February which means they won't be ready to leave until mid-end of April. Her pups range from $600-800 (plus $225 for shipping). I'm checking out some other breeders... seeing if there are some in Ohio/Kentucky/Indiana where I can just drive to get them. Iowa is about 7 1/2 hours away... so I dunno that I really want to drive that far.
I can't wait for my new apartment and my dog.

Okay. So if you live in Cincinnati or the Northern Kentucky area, you know if you're white, you DO NOT go into Over-the-Rhine. It's a very poor, almost all black neighborhood. And with the race problems we have in Cincinnati, you know your chances of getting shot if you go into Over-the-Rhine are pretty high. They had 79!!! deaths from shootings there last year... and that was just innocent people getting shot.
Stupid white people need to stay out of there...
